Overview

Lord Ayyappa trust (now lord Ayyappa service society) was founded in year 1983 as a religious & charitable society with prime object of constructing a Lord Ayyappa temple in city of Lucknow. The small sactum sanctorum was renewed in year 1998-99

The temple is built strictly according to temple Vastushilpa, under able guidance of renowed temple architect, Sri Kanipayyur Krishnan Namboodiripad of Kerala. The Sreekovil and Chuttambalam (Sanctum sanctorum & other corner temples) was carried out under supervision of Mr Thankappan Achary of Chengannur, Kerala. The holy ceremony of Prana Prathishta of Lord Ayyappa and other dieties - Lord Ganapati, Lord shiva, Godess Vaishnavi devi and Lord Sree Ram - was held on 31st March 1999.

Today, the Lord Ayyappa temple has become a focal point of worship with a Navagraha temple, Naga devta, Sri Hanumanji and Devi Kali mandir in the premises.

The temple premises also comprises of a kitchen and Ootupura (dining hall) and provide facilities for Marriages, Annaprasam and traditional cultural programmes.
